Meet our 2025-2026 Scholarship Recipients

Noah Schroeder
Noah is an amazing young man and graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School. He has been in Jazz and Pep Band and Marching Band all four years of his high school career. Her has participated in District 3 Honors Band and the Putnam County Honors Band. He has participated in OMEA Solo & Ensemble Contest. The euphonium is his primary instrument. Noah has a GPA of 4.0 and is first in his class. His accomplishments are many. He will be attending the University of Cincinnati - Conservatory of Music this fall. We are so excited to bestow this scholarship on Noah. He will be a excellent representative of our scholarship.
Abigail Rollins
Abigail is a graduate of Van Wert High School. Her academic ranking is first in her class. She
participated in Marching and Symphonic Bands all four years of her high school career. She performed in OMEA District 3 Honors Band and OMEA solo and ensemble groups. In her Senior year, she was a soloist in the District 3 Honors Band. She was selected as a member of ,Northwest Regional Orchestra. Abi also plays in the St. Mary's Community Band. Her primary instrument is the flute. She will be attending Purdue University Fort Wayne this fall. Abi exemplifies everything we look for in a Jim Murray Scholarship recipient.


Zachary Oris
Zachary is a graduate of Galion High School. He has participated in Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band and Symphonic Band for his entire high school career. He plays piano for the theatre and drama groups at the high school. He has been a Squad Leader in Marching Band. He received his Marching band varsity letter and receive the Peer Selected Marvelous Musician Award. He has participated in OMEA District 2 Solo and Ensemble events and in the District 2 OMEA Honors Band. Zach was also part of the Capital University Honors Band Festival. He will be attending Capital University to study Instrumental Music this fall.
